The best and most successful game of the last ten years is undoubtedly called settlers! The game, to which there are countless extensions and variants, triggered a boom in 1995 on the board game market in Germany - and later in the world - that continues until today. Each player tries to reach ten points as quickly as possible. This is mainly due to the construction of settlements and cities. The more a player builds, the more raw material revenue he gets. Since 1999, there are German Championships in settlers of Catan and since March 2001 there is an online world ranking list.
