She's finally here long. She was presented at the Spielwarenmesse 2002 in Nuremberg. The extension to Carcassonne, the game of 2001, offers some new parts.
There are now host houses on the lake that double the points of the streets. Thus the roads are somewhat upgraded to the cities. For the cities there are two cathedrals that provide three times rather than double numbers, but only when the city is finished. Otherwise, it doesn't matter at all. Each player receives a new figure that counts twice.
The author has had the right feeling here that the balance in the basic game is not destroyed. For every lover of the basic game, the extension is a must. It offers variety and a lot of new possibilities. It is even playable together with the river! Then in Carcassonne it goes round with 101 cards!
You can be curious what follows in this successful series!
