ATTIKA is a world premiere. Six days before the game '03, the Hans starts new luck in the BrettspielWelt. Marcel Andrè Casasola Merkle - already known by traitors, meuters and attributes in the BSW - shows his first big board game. And here all the strategists in this world come back to their costs. At first, everything looks very complicated, but quickly you find that the actual game sequence becomes very round and liquid. The depth of the game does not suffer.
Each player takes over the construction of a city state. Temple, theatre and oracle, a port with ships, vineyard, winemakers and much more must find its place on the Greek peninsula. It quickly becomes narrow and so it is important to cut off the way for fellow players and to secure themselves the most fertile landmarks. Construction is expensive, however. If you want to save, you have to use the natural resources of the country or observe the sensible sequence of models by placing its buildings on one another.
The beauty of this game is the way the interaction between the players is created. While everyone builds for themselves and this as quickly as possible, the limited space in the field results in a topological interaction that always influences their own play. In addition, due to the possible "Sudden Death", the connection of two sanctuaries, there is always great tension. The growing map is responsible for the fact that this element is always alive.
