Spacebob is a game with very simple rules. But until you have mastered it, you can gain a lot of experience.
Spacebob is about transporting goods from one planet to another. For this purpose, a spaceship is available to each player, which has a cargo space that initially offers space for two goods. In order to see which goods can be delivered on which planet, one moves with the mouse over the goods, then a ring appears around the destination planets.(1a)
For each delivered product you get exactly one point. The collection of goods is "free" and does not entail any disadvantages, except for the use of the cargo area, since goods that were loaded once can only be reloaded on their destination planet. In very rare cases, a commodity type cannot be loaded on any planet. Therefore, always look for the target planet before loading goods.
Rewards in the form of additional points are obtained when supplying goods to planets with additional demand (7). Each product brings an additional point per demand, but also removes one of the demands of this delivered product. So if there is a 3x demand on a planet and there are 2 goods, you get 7 points for it. 4 for the first goods (1 + 3 requests) and 3 points for the second goods, as a result of the delivery of the first goods a demand has been removed.
Now it is important to find the best and most effective delivery routes and thus to obtain as many points as possible in the limited time.
To load a merchandise into the spaceship you click either on a free space in your own cargo space (1), or click on the display of the merchandise of the planet on which you are currently located with your spaceship (2). Any action that you perform costs time that is unfortunately short. To fly from one planet to another you only have to click on the center of the planet you want to fly. (3) Flight from one planet to another can only take place via one of the displayed connections through space. (4) Thus, a seemingly obvious route cannot often be flown because there is no hyperspace connection.
Flying, as well as loading and unloading costs time that is displayed on your own spaceship by means of a small "clock". (5)
The total time remaining to a busy supplier will be displayed at the bottom right next to the loading rooms. (6)
Occasionally, on a planet, there is a possibility to improve its own spaceship. (8) You can either expand your cargo space by a charging station or improve your own engine by one step to travel faster between the planets.
These extensions must be paid with a goods displayed next to the extension (8a). To deliver the goods in question, you have to click directly on the extension.
However, these "offers" are limited in time, you can see the remaining time until the end of the offer in the background. In addition, the capacity of the extensions is limited, it is possible to have a maximum of 5 loading spaces or 8 drives.
The game can be played in different galaxies. The display of the routes and the demand/target planets can be additionally set, which can make the game easier and clearer. It is, however, quite intended that not all information can be clearly identified, so the game is recommended in its basic form without activation of the options.
You can choose the frequency of the emergence of pirates. If you choose the 0, it's quite rotten pirates, then you don't get up. The 5 are very predatory pirates.
They dive between the planets on the routes and when a spaceship takes this route, the pirates steal goods. No one knows exactly what they steal, but every space pilot will notice it. Sometimes, however, pirates are also in vain, the percentage shown indicates what probability they steal.
Take care of yourself!
The game ends after the time specified in the option, between 5 and 30 minutes. (Basic setting is the fast 5-minute game)
In the game from a length of 10 minutes, the spaceship extensions will, of course, always be more triumphant, as the extensions require a lot of "special planning" due to the fact that they do not bring directly points.
In contrast to the other games of the BrettspielWelt, this game offers a lot of scope for extensions, additions and limitations that I would like to develop, even together with you, if a certain fan community should arise for it.
