Tower
Build an additional settlement on edge of the game board. Can only be one of five suitable terrain types, and must build adjacent to existing settlements if possible.
Oracle
Build an additional settlement on adjacent (if possible) hex of the same terrain type as your played card.
Farm
Build an additional settlement on a rampant hex. Build adjacent if possible.
Oasis
Build an additional settlement on a desert hex. Build adjacent if possible.
Tavern
Build an additional settlement on either end of a straight line of at least and settlement.
Bars
Move one of your existing settlements to a hex of the same terrain type as your played card. Build adjacent if possible.
Harbor
Move any one of your existing settlements to a water hex. Build adjacent if possible. This is the only way to build settlements on water hexes.
Paddock
Move any one of your existing settlements two hexes in a straight line . You may jump across any obstacle. Here you are don't have to build adjacent!
Castle
Castles count for scoring, and do not give bonuses during the game. At the end of the game, each player with at least one settlement next to the castle receives 3 gold.
The Kingdom Builder cards are an important part of the game. There are ten of them, but only three are used in each game. The 3 cards will be randomly selected and displayed at the top of the screen. For more equal information move your mouse to that area.
The Kingdom Builder cards determine how your settlements are scored at the end of the game (in gold). Therefore, one should keep them in mind throughout the game.
Fishermen
1 gold for each of your own settlements added to a water hex.
miners
1 gold for each of your own settlements added to a mountain hex.
Workers
1 gold for each of your own settlements added to a location or castle hex.
Merchant
4 gold for each location and/or castle hex linked contiguously by your own settlements to other location and/or castle hexes.
Citizens
1 gold for every 2 settlements in your largest own settlement area.
Hermits
1 gold for each settlement group (a single, stand-alone settlement so receives 1 gold).
Lords
The player with the most settlements per quadrant per receives 12 gold. The player with the second-most settlements per quadrant receives 6 gold. In case of a tie all tied players get the full amount.
Farmers
3 gold for each of your own settlements in that sector with the fewest of your own settlements. To get the gold you must build settlements in all four sections!
Discoveries
1 gold for each horizontal line on which you have built at least one of your own settlement (max. 20).
Knights
2 gold for each of your settlements on the horizontal line with the most or your own settlements.
